Welcome

We provide services to Shaw and nearby communities that might not otherwise have access to goods and services.

The Community Outreach ministry also has an educational role that includes raising the awareness of existing services to underserved persons in the community and to provide spiritual support for persons in need who often times are left out or forgotten.

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

- Matthew 25:40 -

MISSIONS

The Shiloh Mission Ministry serves communities local and abroad to preach the Christian faith and provide aid and services to those in need. Such efforts include engaging in relief efforts, Clothing Ministry and Fellowship meals.

TENNIS AT SHILOH (TAS)

Tennis At Shiloh (TAS) was organized in 1976 for the purpose of providing physical and spiritual development through recreation and fellowship in a Christian atmosphere for youths and adults. TAS has a membership of more than 100 persons.

Community Fellowship Meals

Since March 2020, bag lunches have been distributed to the homeless by Shiloh deacons each 3rd Saturday between 12 noon and 2pm, in keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines issued by DC City Government.

Pre-pandemic, a full hot meal was served and periodically care packages of hygienic and toiletry items were also distributed to everyone in attendance. We engage participants in a brief devotional period that included uplifting scriptural words from a ministerial staff member period or a deacon of the church. Finally, each month the homeless community has the opportunity to select clothing items from Shiloh’s Second Chance Clothes Closet.
